PATIENT PREPARATION:

  • No patient preparation needed

  • 2-3 mL of serum (red top)

REJECTION OF SPECIMEN:

  • Hemolyzed specimen
  • Improperly labeled tube
  • QNS (Quantity Not Sufficient)

 

RUNNING DAY:

  • Everyday

 

SPECIMEN STABILITY:

  • ROOM TEMPERATURE (20-24°C)

 

  • REFRIGERATED TEMPERATURE (2-8°C)

RELEASING OF RESULTS:

  • 1-2 hours after blood extraction
